Our Story

From a small neighborhood bakery to a beloved community institution - how we became Mithai Mandir.

The Beginning

Mithai Mandir began in 1998 when Rajesh Sharma, after studying baking in Mumbai and training with master mithai makers in Kolkata, returned to Delhi with a dream to bring authentic artisan baking with Indian flavors to his community. With just a small storefront and a passion for quality, Rajesh opened the doors to what would become a neighborhood institution.

In those early days, Rajesh would arrive at 4:00 AM to prepare the day's sweets and breads, crafting each item by hand using recipes passed down through generations. Word quickly spread about the exceptional quality of his mithai and breads, and soon lines were forming outside before the doors even opened.

What set Mithai Mandir apart from the beginning was a commitment to traditional methods and the finest ingredients - a philosophy that continues to guide everything we do today.

Growing With Our Community

As the years passed, Mithai Mandir grew alongside our community. In 2007, we expanded to include locations in Gurgaon and Noida, which allowed us to increase production while maintaining our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Today, while we've grown in size, we remain true to the values that made us successful: using traditional methods, sourcing the finest ingredients from across India, and treating every customer like family.

We're proud to be a place where neighbors meet, families celebrate special occasions and festivals, and community connections are strengthened over the simple pleasure of fresh-baked goods and traditional Indian sweets.
